I’m beginning to actually feel that way too! I felt so guilty thinking that her little duck mind/body must be so confused with the feeling and sight of car travel but I honestly think she’s okay with that part. I learned early on that having the slide cover of the sunroof open would spook her because of overhead visuals (totally understandable) so I keep that closed. Otherwise her biggest complaint about these trips are me having to touch her to do so LOL. And even then, she’s stopped griping so much about that just as long as I don’t keep the lid on. If I step away and leave her alone or if I keep the lid on; she has LOTS to say about it.

Maybe it's the feeling of going fast, like flying?

Okay THAT’s pretty awesome. I’m going to capitalize on that perk and I’ll be changing my username here soon. It’s pretty serendipitous actually: I’d only paid for premium because I know during the weeks that Little Lucy was sick, prior to passing, lord knows I’d been glued to the internet and BYC. Felt it was appropriate to pay a little something there. And that’s to say nothing of this saga of OG’s.

But! With that benefit I can have a mild name do-over. Yay

And, briefly, on an unrelated note, can we point about the nerve wracking job of removing the bands from the ducklings’ legs!? I took them off tonight and my god... Grumpy was a life saver and total helper extraordinaire. Who knows which of these guys would’ve been renamed ‘Stumpy’

Oh! And I got to take an hour and a half nap with them perched on a pillow beside me. My life is mildly complete now LOL
