She sounds so precious, and looking good too.

Looking forward to seeing those new babies when they arrive. :pop

Oh, I must thank you guys for taking this journey with me! I enjoy fun talks over this species and I can say, she’s left no topic uncovered LOL

I’m noticing a lot of little feathers in their area of late and I’m assuming they are starting spring molting maybe? There’s no specific bald spots so wherever they’re coming from, they’re doing it seemingly evenly? Do they lose any of their flight feathers during his time? I ask because Patty has had 2-3 supper crappy looking flight feathers (in fact, the last 2-3 on each wing) since I got her and I’m hoping she can shed those soon and start showing herself off as the pretty (weird) lady she is. I love her regardless, for the record LOL.

OG? Well she’s got some thinning on the back of her head. I would ordinarily chalk it up to Patty’s never ending attempts of lovin’s but since they’ve been separated for nigh on 4-5 weeks now, I can’t blame Patty.

When they molt, do they lose some of their head fluff?

So I hit send and low and behold there they are. How adorable Congrats!!!

Oh I totally wasn’t ready for them this morning LOL. I was just finishing up washing their waterer/feeder so as to get rid of any stranger cooties acquired at the store and lo and behold, the post office calls. So of course, I rush up there to get them. I probably could’ve waited and had everything finalized before I picked them up (meaning Grumpy wouldn’t get first dibs on cuddles) but I just could not wait any longer. And while I’m literally napping on my floor next to their tote, I still have zero regrets. ❤️

I’m actually *genuinely* bummed I didn’t get any pics of her in that ride. She looked (as per usual) so adorable sitting in her ducky tote, head popped up and in between my mom and I. She would “randomly” quack and it’d startle the snot out of my mom.

I’ve started learning her quack motives. For instance; when I was loading up the bedding (of which I got 10 bale packages because they were on sale for $4) I was opening and closing different doors loading up my purchase (and flower bulbs) she would quack when the door opened and as soon as I spoke, she’d quiet down. Rinse and repeat with each door and the back hatch.

I said she’s my guard duck!
I suspect she enjoys the rides.

I suspect she enjoys the rides.

I’m beginning to actually feel that way too! I felt so guilty thinking that her little duck mind/body must be so confused with the feeling and sight of car travel but I honestly think she’s okay with that part. I learned early on that having the slide cover of the sunroof open would spook her because of overhead visuals (totally understandable) so I keep that closed. Otherwise her biggest complaint about these trips are me having to touch her to do so LOL. And even then, she’s stopped griping so much about that just as long as I don’t keep the lid on. If I step away and leave her alone or if I keep the lid on; she has LOTS to say about it.
