What is a really interesting psychological disorder?

Gotta check out the link I sent you....you can't pass up disorders that cause you to cut off your limbs, ones that make you think you have an elongated neck or outsized body parts, or one that makes you unable to sleep and eventually kills you, or phantom hand syndrome~where you cannot control the signals to your hand and it does things on its own......too darn good to miss, those disorders and the others on the site!

Bipolar is definately interesting. My mother had it and so does my daughter and one of my grandsons. Makes life very interesting. I've been living around it for as long as I can remenber

or you could write about PAS (Parental Alienation Syndrome). It's when a couple with children get divorced and one of the parents (usually the mother) basically brainwashes the kid into believing that the kid can only trust them, but the reality is that that parent (the one doing the brainwashing) is the last person on earth that the kid should trust... Most kids never recover from this horrific ordeal. And this is all for that one parent to get revenge... It's sad.

I was going to suggest that, or maybe borderline personality disorder. I heard Hitler had pica.

I didn't know that was an ailment other than just being insecure. Or trying to get back at the other parent. I actually know somebody like that. My x son n laws wife is constantly talking bad about other people and telling lies about them. Then she tries to make herself look superior.

I thought it was just insecurity. Maybe she shouldn't be raising 4 kids. The oldest being my grandson. She actually started a fight with the boys mother the day after she had a baby then told the police she attacked her. On court day she told the judge she wanted her to stay away for 6 months and I was to be the one to pick up the boy and bring him home.

The amazing thing is that is how things have been for about7 years anyway. She just happened to be with me this time becuase we where going to show off the baby. When she got out of the car to let the boy in she attatcked her. Right in front of all the kids.

Maybe she's just nuts.

Actually, Hitler had coprophagia more specifically.

Bio-polar ? My daughter suffers from Bio-polar. I guess it is genetic and she got it from her biological fathers side. I guess the entire family on that side suffers from it. It is really hard sometimes, but I would think make a good research paper

She does ok on her medications but without it. Whoa Nelly. What was hard was how for so long people would look at me and my husband as bad parents. Like it was our fault she is how she is. We love her but sometimes it is so very hard.

I completely agree with you. My daughter was just impossible. ?She would go off and I would have to sit on her to keep her from hurting me or herself. She once held a knife to her wrist becues I refused to let her see an older man. She was 14 at the time. It was constant anguish. Now that she is older she is still unmedicated and just refuses to get medicated. That is why I raise her second child. Her first child lives with his dad and her youngest is still with her. He is just 11 months old. She lost her oldest when he was 3 and the middle one we've taken care of since he was 4 months old.

She is better now, for now but when she has her spells she is out there. Its always calm efore the storm though.

I think bipolar is a good subject.
