What is Your Favorite Christmas Dish? (PARTY!)

I'd never heard of Frog's eye salad. Thanks for the recipe - sounds like something I need to try!

Tips.....

Use pineapple tidbits not chunks
Sometimes I even use tidbits instead of crushed.
keep the cooked mixture moving with a wisk to avoid lumps.
use a very fine colandar as the noodles are tiny.
definitely chill at least 8 hours before combining everything.

It makes enough to feed an army!!
I have cut it in half with some math.

We also make heavenly hash....

Big can of Fruit salad drained.
regular Can of diced pineapple drained.
Smallish jar of Maraschino cherries drained.
A sixteen ounce container of sour cream
A whole bag of small marshmallows
Optional toasted coconut sprinkled on top

Mix all the ingredients together in a BIG serving bowl.... and top with the coconut and a few extra cherries....

Should be a food group it only gets better as it sits too.

Its a very light batter cooked a muffin tin filled with beef fat.... Takes some practice to get it right...

Popovers are similar and can be done without the whole roast dripping fat on the tin part (a greased, preheated muffin tin works). I've only made them once or twice but the result was a light eggy bread.
