Matilda Belle
Crowing
My favorite color is definitely partridge. My second favorite is cuckoo. My third favorite, maybe red pyle.

Any guesses on what colors these silkie chicks will be? I have 2 blues and 3 blacks for sure, but there are a couple I'm not certain about. The options are blue, black, splash, blue-buff mix, and blue or buff silke/spangled game bantam mix. (One of the darker colored chicks in the basket isn't a silkie, but I don't know which one. And there were a couple more chicks with slightly feathered feet already in the brooder that I can get pics of later.)
Yes, I want to keep them, if only to see how they look when they are older. I've always liked mixes, maybe because it's something new and unique! I'll post pictures of the possible mixes' wing feathers soon.Aww they are adorable! I think it might be hard to guess mixes but that light face pattern with the dark body is not really something you'd probably see in the color mixes you listed if pure silkie. I'd bet that little dark one with the light face to the far right in the second picture is mixed with the spangled game bantam. Maybe the little light colored cutie in the front as well though that one is harder to guess. Once those wing feathers start to grow in it should be easy to tell which ones are mixed with the spangled game bantam though! If you grow them out it would be so neat to see how they feather out!![]()
