Jack Russel, no rats, possum, or racoons allowed in our yard. He will get up and go outside on patrol, in the middle of the night, if he hears a squeak. View attachment 4120845
We need to borrow your JRT! We discovered a large mouse or rat in the chicken run the other night. I freaked out and did my best to hurt it with the flashlight in my hand - it was the only weapon I had handy. It took off so fast I didn't even see it disappear. Geez.

We've had many dogs since we married. (58 years) Most of them were the "All American breed" aka, mutts. All of them were 100% wonderful. Our Border Collie, Kelly, was fantastic! I still miss her terribly. Our last dogs were 6 Great Pyrenees, they protected our Meat Goat herd. The last surviving Pyrenees was Freddie. We will never have another dog, it hurts to much to loose them.View attachment 4120831View attachment 4120833
Beautiful animals!!!!! I’m sorry you lost them :hugs

Working Line German Shepherd. 2 1/2 years old and his name is Ranger.
Here is him on an adventure with the family last year, where we were on a mission to find a cut down a Christmas Tree!

We have three Great Pyrenees and one Goldendoodle. Our Pyrenees guard the animals and the doodle is our house pet.
Awesome!!!!!!!

Here's my crazy Shar-Peis... The two on the outside are brothers and the center one is a "break-up" dog that my daughter bought and somehow became ours.

I love dogs and we have had one or 14. Every time we get one I pray they live long. We lost two to freak accidents. Few we've had to make the decision to let them go. The one we have now is a rescue. I guess technically we have two. The other belongs to one of our boys but that is how we have ended up with a couple! Paco is a 4.5lb Chihuahua! He is precious but can be so annoying! The other is a Belgian Malinois.

Awwwww I love chihuahuas!!!!!! Malinois are cool too! They’re awesome dogs.

I have a Birder Collie. Yes, she thinks she a bird mom from the time they hatch. She stays by them and gently herds the littles back to the real bird mom when they get lost. She, Lady, stays out at night to protect her flock along with her brother, Mac, a Baller Collie. They’ve chased off a fox, multiple coyotes, and many unknowns. If you just saw them, you’d see Border Collies, litter mates. But the girl is bird mom, and the boy plays ball. Of course!
