What kind of dog do you have!?

I have a Birder Collie. Yes, she thinks she a bird mom from the time they hatch. She stays by them and gently herds the littles back to the real bird mom when they get lost. She, Lady, stays out at night to protect her flock along with her brother, Mac, a Baller Collie. They’ve chased off a fox, multiple coyotes, and many unknowns. If you just saw them, you’d see Border Collies, litter mates. But the girl is bird mom, and the boy plays ball. Of course!

Both are sooo pretty. I developed a love for Border Collies from reading the books Floss and Only One Woof.

My mastiff/lab loves my chickens. He sleeps with them piled on top of him, allows them to groom him and protects them from everyone/thing except…

My mastiff/standard poodle mix, who wants to eat the chickens. Don’t let this sweet face fool you! She is a raccoon killing, mole digging beast. My chickens have a very secure run and coop but given the chance, she will add them to her unalive list!
