I’m pretty sure it came from one of my drakes but not 100%. I just saw him shaking his beak back and forth like he was attempting to dislodge something or wasn’t keen on what he’d eaten. He’s vocalising and breathing normally but seems hesitant to eat. Would not eat millet and has had only around 4/5 peas. I’ve put some activated charcoal in their enclosure just to be on the safe side. It’s a thick jelly substance? Any ideas what it is?

I have no idea what that could be unless the remains of some kind of bug or slug etc. Good idea to put the Activated charcoal out just in case.

That’s all I can think of too, it wouldn’t be anything organ related would it, I know that probably sounds extremely daft 😭 he’s a little hesitant with eating at the moment but I don’t know if that’s just because he’s feeling under the weather now.

Kinda looks like mucus. I agree with the charcoal. I prefer to give charcoal pills.
It’s extremely jelly like, super super thick. He’s breathing normal and quacking it’s just the hesitancy with food which is worrying. He’s definitely been in the activated charcoal as his beak is black tinted 🤣

I doubt it's organ-related. If he ate something that didn't agree with him hopefully by days end he'll be feeling better since he is drinking the Activated charcoal.

Do you have slugs in the garden? Seems like similar consistency.

Keep us updated how it goes.
