Red, gall bladders don't attack, they fail. Mine did and I thought the same thing.
I ended up with a major infection as my body tried to reject the gall bladder.
Instead of overnite or out patient surgery, I spent five days in the hospital to deal with the infection before they could operate.
Get him to the doctor NOW!

He says there is no pain now.. and is in fact eating some Salmon Wiggle for dinner right now..

He should get checked out by his doctor though. What the heck is salmon wiggle?

Red, I don't want to scare you, but the pain does come and go.
If the gall bladder has quit, the body does other things to take care of fatty foods.
I know what a pain doctors are, but please convince him to go and tell the doc that it might be gall bladder.
Men are REAL stubborn, but drag him to the doc, please!!
been there, done that, learn from my mistake.
