When are Silkie roasters sexually mature?

I have two white silkies that I want to breed. I think they are about 5 months old. I cant wait for babies! He is trying but she is not yet laying eggs, poor guy. He is also interested in my two white leghorns. What is happening there? Can a silkie and a leghorn have a chick? What is the world would that be?
