I'm not sure about a Woods at this time. I can't curb the costs down enough to a feasible level. But a bigger coop is in the plans. Will something this small be enough,,,,,,,,,

build the small end and later you could build the other halfI'm not sure about a Woods at this time. I can't curb the costs down enough to a feasible level. But a bigger coop is in the plans.
View attachment 1345382 View attachment 1345373 For the love of sweet baby Jesus!!! A day old and they are giving me panic attacks!!!! Chicken wire keeps chickens in, not predators out... Well, that evil-clothing ripping-skin impaling crap doesn't keep chickens in either!!! Stuck in a hole! Covered the lower half with regular house screen. Jumping , Jesus, Mary and Joseph....my nerves are shot!
5 so far....the #7 egg is still yet to hatch. Hopefully she will continue to sit on it. It was the last one I put under her.
Yes, a bigger coop was already in the plans...Miss Mocha apparently didn't get the memo and went ahead with her own plans. However, since this baby thing, my coop idea has significantly changed.
The others don't seem to give a rat's ass about the babies. They go about their day like nothing is going on... Is that normal?
They are just so dang precious!

I love my hoop coops... No cleaning, just move them.Good post!!! I've considered that. Not that I have room or space for an other coop. But, if I were starting out with a smallish coop, that's what I'd do. Build the back end first, then butt the front end up to it at a later date.
Of course @KettermanHillCoop , you are in a warmer climate. You could also build a hoop coop which would provide excellent deep litter opportunities, and be a low budget operation.
