Who else is waiting the impossible wait?

First perfect little green egg today from Willow, my brown EE. In was on the coop floor. Then, sadly, found a small light pinkish egg, I believe from Sookie, my light colored EE, that was broken. The shell seemed a bit thin and there was a rough patch that seemed thinner yet. I'm hoping it's just a beginner thing although the other's eggs had great shells. Sookie doesn't care for the oyster shell, either. Buffy apparently decided to take a break today. And Anita, the BR that I was so sure would be first, is the hold out. Even with the cracked egg though, it was really exciting to find two eggs in one day!

My girls won't eat oyster shell, but they go nuts over recycled eggshell. I wash them, leave them in the sun to dry, then crush and sprinkle in their run. I don't let them have all of them because I like to boost the calcium in my veggie garden for the tomatoes, but they get most of them back.

At 22 weeks we finally got our first egg!! It's from one of the BOs but we have no idea which. She nicely laid it in the nest. When I came to get it one of the BOs came up inside the coop to see what I was doing. I praised her and then she left.

Its a perfect light brown small size egg! Good girl!!!!

My daughters chicks started laying about 10 days ago.. she has 5 chicks?? and 1 rooster that we know of...she is getting 2 eggs a day right now... I believe that there is a2 week difference in the ages of her chicks so not sure if that is the difference...

Everyday checking and re-checking...
