I'm with you. Mine are 14 weeks today. Seems like it HAS to have been at least 3 weeks since last Monday when they were 13 weeks! I am not a patient waiter!
I am starting to think I have a flock of duds. LOL!
Hopefully it'll happen soon. It would be a sweet birthday present this Saturday.
The leghorn is squawking & her comb and wattles are nice and red. She's one of the youngest, but she's also a breed that lays young. They're all roughly 20-24 weeks (EE is the oldest at 23-24 weeks).
So, as of yesterday, all four have laid an egg. Buffy has been laying every day except for one and her egg was almost full size today. My green egg laying EE who laid last Friday has not laid since (I'm hearing that this can be normal). The BR laid her first egg yesterday which was kinda pale and thin, but she laid a much better looking brown egg today. And the other EE, has laid two thin, cracked, pale pinkish eggs. Hopefully hers will start to firm up a bit. But, YAY!! Everyday there is presents!
The wait is over, I caught one of my 24 week old silver laced wyandottes laying an egg!!! Actually under her were 3 eggs one was a little broken. Here is my 4 year old daughter holding our eggs.
