Who Still has their Christmas tree up besides me?

We cut a Norway spruce this year. It was the best smelling tree we have EVER had...just filled the whole first floor of our house with that awesome scent for about three days....then it started drying up. Quit drinking after a week. Been losing needles ever since. We put it up the 11th and it's still up, but coming down this weekend, it is so dry. That's the first, and probably last, time we will get a tree with those super short needles.

I agree, I like to celebrate the whole Christmas season. I allowed my oldest daughter to take down a lot of Christmas decorations before she went back to school, because it was that much less I had to do...but now I'm sorry I let her as she tore down a lot of stuff I normally would have taken down by degrees.

I do this too. It did not go up until the night before Christmas, and I am just not done with it yet.
I suppose when people start decorating in July we'll over lap some.

I can't bear to take it down..................I had a lousy year last year, and the tree makes me happy, so I will wait......................

Mine is still up. The way I look at it is... DH put it up , he can take it down and put it away. I just haven't had any Christmas spirit the last few years. Mabey 2012 Christmas will be different.

Usually, mine goes up within a week after Thanksgiving, and comes down within a week after Christmas. I didn't decorate the house too much this year, since I was having surgery a few days before Christmas, and knew I wouldn't be 100% when it was time to take everything down. I hate clutter, so as much as I love having all the decorations and tree up, after a month of it, I'm happy to take everything down and put it away. I still got everything down within a week after Christmas, despite being in rocovery from surgery, but my husband had to take the actual tree down- its artificial, and I can't bend down to put the sucker away. I can understand leaving your tree up if you are still celebrating, or waiting for someone to come home to celebrate it with. I can also understand leaving everything up until you actually are able to get around to taking it down. What I don't understand is the people that still actually "plug in" the Christmas lights on their houses. I mean sure, it takes alot to get those house lights down, but that doesn't mean you have to plug them in. I can also see leaving them on till New Year's, but we have folks around here that will keep them lit up till February!

I will admit, I miss the glow of the Christmas tree, though.

Well I dragged the box out and got a few items in and then had to run the kids around to their activities.... So now I have a box and the tree in the living room taking up space and no extra time
