Will my duck get broody?

Not yet, but another one should start today (day 30). It 'drilled' into the shell in 4 places and The shell is starting to crack. If I'd have to guess, I'd say it will hatch in the following 12h.

Duckling is strong, but still has leg issue. It looks like his foot is starting to open, but he keeps it raised and doesn't step on it much. He jumps on one feet and is getting quite good at it! Since it is improving I'll let him fix it before stepping in in a day or two.

He has great appetite for zophobas and not so much for anything else. I now cut large superworms to pieces and mix them into his water.
Superworms have a lot of vitamins, 20% protein, 20% fat and have low chitin content. They are low on calcium which I hope he gets from his feed. I will start giving him less worms now and try to get him to eat something else as well.

During the day, the second one hatched. He was weak and the first duckling started attacking it, so I separated them when things got rough. The younger duckling was terrified when I got the larger one into the brooder, but soon started copying his behavior.
By tge end of the day the younger duckling actually started snaping back at him and he backed off. They seem to have bonded now.

The young duckling has healthy feet, but is still clumsy. He is getting much better since he started 'fighting' his older brother.

His foot opened, but he still keeps it under his body and only jumps around on one leg. Sometimes he would erratically stretch his lame leg as he was about to scratch. The two siblings are now getting along just fine. The younger is getting a bit more mean and snaps at his brother randomly or when the older duckling eats most of the worms I get them. The young one is not as agile yet and fails to compete with him.
The younger brother also snaps at the second duckling's injured foot, but not in an attacking way. I think he tries to encourage him to use it.

They are peeping and talking to each other non-stop.

Third duckling hatched today, but he doesn't seem to have absorbed the yolk completely. i just noticed it :(

Poor thing!

I didn't. I just cut the long umbilical cord so it doesn't bother the duckling when it moves. Duckling is sleeping now, which is normal. I hope it looks worse than it is. Keeping my fingers crossed. I am keeping him away from other two ducklings. They communicate though. I'll give him the dragon toy to keep him company.

PS: this one also had a lot of yellow discharge inside the egg when he hatched. Same as the first one, which has leg issues. I'll most likely toss the incubator. It just can't keep proper temperature I guess. Or could it be that there was something wrong with some of the eggs?

Yep 24 hours will make a big difference to the Duckling. Best wishes. It never bled at all right?
