Windham Maine TSC Farm Days- NEXT DATE: JULY 28TH!

Would you happen to have any slw hatching eggs for tomorrow?

Sorry. No. But I think one of the youngsters I'm bringing is a roo so you could eventually get some fertilized eggs if you also get a pullet or two to go with him.

About to head out to wrangle chickens! Very excited to meet everyone today and talk chicken. I will be the lady with the blue easy up and 4 little girls running around asking you if they can pet your animals.

I can't make it. Couldn't figure out how to get the chickens there with out to much wind on them. So if anyone is interested I still have 6 silkies and 4 white plymouth rocks to sell. As well as a rooster, again not sure what he is. And I f anyone is willing to come to my house I'm sure I have other chickens that I might part with.

just FYI, some people put the birds in boxes to transport the move them to cages at the swap.

well, the store was very pleased with how it went and they want us back often, lol! i thought it went pretty well for a first day, even if there were just 4 vendors. I sold 1/2 the birds i brought and my kids think Widget is the coolest person ever.

anyway, mark your calendars for the 28th of July, because thats when we are doing it again! same time same place, MORE CHICKENS!

Hey there, despite the tag, I thought I'd introduce myself here. My family is moving to Cumberland Center, and I really hope we will be there for this meet up! I think we are going to be selling our coop and chickens down here in NJ rather than transport them. Then we will buy a coop once we know where we are going to put it.

Also, since I am a USDA CAT II accredited vet, what would you guys think of me setting up a table and doing CVI's and Health Certs at something like this? I am not licensed and accredited in ME, yet, but, if this is the sort of service that would be useful, I could become licensed and accredited.

Well welcome to Maine!! Where about in Cumberland Center will you be? I live 3 miles from Cumberland. Also, just putting this out there, if you need someone to build a coop, my husband built ours. Much less than buying.

Hey there. Thanks for the welcome.

We are buying a house off of Range Road. Can't wait. Inspection is Friday. Closing in August.

All the coop plans seemed so daunting. My husband can do a lot of stuff woodworking, but it was hard to figure out what would work, what would be feasible and when we would actually build it!

The property is fairly wooded, so I am going to see where a coop could go where it wouldn't be too hard to get and in a good spot for the girls.
