Windham Maine TSC Farm Days- NEXT DATE: JULY 28TH!

got it!! what, you don't want to get up that early lol
Uh-Oh! Found a discrepency I didnt notice until now! I have advertised and organized with the store to do 9am to 1pm. I just noticed on the maine swap list here, and the CL ad you did Widget, that it says 8am. Hoppy and Widget, if you guys could edit that I would appreciate it!

edited because I saw that I even had it listed on this thread as 8am too! Dont know how I managed to list one time here, and another with the store!

Anyone know where to get Frizzle's? We adore variety in our flock. Recently lost 5 layers to predators :( Looking around to get more girls and love the look if those! Will try to check out the event just for the fun of it.

I have a little sizzle chick...well, she is a sizzle/cochin cross really....that will most likely be available. He/She is just over a week old right now, no idea on sex. My kids would like to keep all of the chicks, but there just is no way we can do that!

if you want to hatch some, i have hatching eggs for sizzles.white and paint roo over 3 splash hens (2 curly, 1 smooth) but I could remove the smooth if you didn't want those..

Okay. I changed the time on the CL ad.

Nine works better for me. It will give me a bit more time to get organized and set up.

Not sure if I will bring any ducks. Still not sure what I want to keep. And I have one less EE to bring since the others decided to attack her. Black chicken with a really large bloody raw spot on the rear just wouldn't look good. So she is now in her own crate until she heals. Other than the raw spot she looks great and is a very active little bugger.

It will be nice to thin out the flock a bit. Right now they are going through 50 lbs of food a week.

I have an Easy-Up canopy to bring for Saturday to provide shade for the chickens and me. It is brand new so I have to get it put together before then. Naturally we have had thunderstorms the past few afternoons so I haven't been able to do this.

I'll be there with an easy up too Widget...and apparenly all 4 daughters and my husband! He says he's staying the whole time because he doesnt want me to buy anything, lol! The funnier part is that he thinks him being there will stop me

.

I have got a couple more emails in response to the CL ad I had placed from people that are interested in coming to buy chickens. So it's looking like we will have a pretty decent first day! See you all tomorrow and let me know if I need to add anything to our list.

Well if everyone stays where they are supposed to tonight I should have nine or ten youngsters to sell. All are between 10-12 weeks. Buff orps and silver laced wyandottes. Yesterday a couple of the wyandottes escaped from their brooder and knocked the cover off the brooder housing the six week old chicks. So I have had fun trying to round up all the loose chickens in the basement. There are still some splash orps and australorps somewhere down there hiding in the obstacle course that is my cellar.
