hi folks,
long day ,,,most snow I've seen in years from one 12hr storm, got at least 20" of wet stuff 25mph gusts and steady 13mph winds made for some drifting I tellya,,,geeze. That wind was my friend,,nothing stuck to the greenhouse,,sides are piled up 8' though,,,needs to be gone asap
DD got stuck in the drive, good thing,,, she was determined to try and get to work,,,,much better stuck at home than on the road
All schools and functions shut down, I was surprised at all the small businesses closed,,,must have needed a snow day. Should be a big weekend for bubble heads around town.
Town crews finally got the side roads opened early afternoon, friend came and cleared the drive, I stucked my ole tractor which added to the delightful day,,,,,,tomorrows 1st project then finish cleanup
Dinner involved a huge pot of chili, cubed backstrap and home made chirizo,,nummm
FT where do you buy feed? I'm always looking for sources I haven't checked with Farmers Feed in Rhinelander, that's on my list for next trip over
thought there must be a pic that I can't see on bf4's post,,,I must be tired
old guy needs his pillow,,,night all
I can NOT get this story out of my mind: 50,000 chickens in Cali left without food for over two weeks!! Less than 5,000 made it. I wish I could somehow adopt a couple. I sure hope and pray they prosecute the owner.
There are some really touching stories and pictures of a hen seeing the sun, grass, outside for the first time ever, and how some of these were so weak they couldn't even hold up their heads...had forgotten even how to eat.
