Afternoon...Please respect all the rules here....I was wondering when something was gonna be said.....the Cheeseheads is a family fun of friends...please don't question BYC policies, and review what you agreed to, and have respect for the mods....they have a tuff job keeping everything on the high road.

WTH? I think they meant me.

I got an e-mail from BYC today saying someone named superchix21 quoted me in a post. When I clicked on show me the post, it took me to the first page of this thread. All I did was post some links from off CL from people who were selling chicks. And when was the last time I did that? Heck, I am 152 posts behind, for crying out loud. So whoever is cracking the whip saw a post of mine from about 1,000 posts back.

Sorry about that.

As to where I've been, we have a family reunion this Saturday that we are hosting, so lots of cleaning & yardwork have been taking precedence around here. After Saturday, I am free! Well, then there will be the cleanup........... Maybe next Sat. I will be free. In any case, hope to catch up soon!

Good question, hey? I clicked on her profile & it says she joined today. Has anyone seen her quote a post of mine today? I was dated today at 11:18am, a few minutes before the BYC mod post was posted. Maybe a new hire that wants to impress? The kicker is I wasn't trying to sell anything. I just copied a few links from Craig's List for people who had birds for sale or who were looking to buy some. In any case, it was a very long time ago & I haven't done it recently, and have no plans of doing it again. Geez.

I think I figured out the issue with why the Mod posted that and where "superchix 21" came from. When you look at her profile, she posted in this forum this morning at 11 am. Right after, the Mod posted that comment and it appears that superchixs post was removed. She had also posted that she was new in her introductionand looking for chicks in WI. Someone suggested she post in our forum to see about locating some. I assume she reposted CCs post about some she saw for sale-hence the comment about not listing chicks for sale. Clear as mud , right?

Sorry! I just wanted to know if anyone saw this post of me being quoted? I didn't find it, and I have no idea how long ago I originally posted that. I don't think it is right for them to call all of us out on something that I alone did who knows how long ago. Send me a personal e-mail & let me know of my error. Don't blame everyone on the thread. No?

And the really kicker is, I haven't been on here for weeks. Why even bring it up now? Oh well. I am sorry for causing all the trouble.

Hi All!

I can see if someone post in the "other" general forums and blatantly advertises, however, in an area forum, among "friends" I see no reason not to mention that you have this or that for sale. Heck, we bend over backwards to help people get what they want or need from all over the state! We're people helping people get what they want and there is no reason that our little group should chastised for offering each other first pick of what we may have to offer. Finding out who has what for sale locally is one of the reasons I joined this group!

maybe the mods didn't remove her post,, maybe she removed it herself ..

people like that like to stir up trouble, but they don't have the balls to be recognized.. they like to stay hidden in the grass like a snake ..

this hatch is not doing well,, neither the chicks nor the keets... they are not very robust, hatch rate is poor, and many had to be helped out of their shells.. a few have died already..

but I took the survivors directly out to the chicken coop and put them into one of the brooder pens.
no stinky mess in the house from now on..

I finally have my rotation down pat.. into the brooder, then into the nursery and finally let loose to free range in the big fenced in yard.. when they are big enough to fly over the 4 foot high fence, they are free to roam the whole 9 acres ..

the nursery guineas are starting to sound like full grown birds.. I hear lots of hens calling..
time to put them on Craig's List.. Whoops !!!!!!! can I even say that on here ??
I am not used to being censored..

Maybe someone should come up with a form ,, when we want to post, just fill in the blanks with words from the established list provided ..
