Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

OMG Irish! Glad you found her. (And thank goodness for hubbys that help LOL Did he complain and pretend to think it dumb the whole time too)

I am putting up chicken wire on the inside of the wire fence so chicks cant get out when they are locked into the run. Tonight I am letting them all free range while doing chores and working on fence. All of a sudden I hear chicks and mom yelling...The moms headed back in and the chicks were on the outside side, and managed to get stuck between the fencing and chicken wire on the gate. SHEESH! It wont be more than a few more days till they cant get their heads stuck thru the chicken wire but meanwhile, I now have to watch them when they are free ranging on outside of fence.

Wish you could have stayed longer BL4! Nice visit anyhow.

Our sleepy little town saw a local group do a veterans ride today. They went from Green Bay to Two Rivers to Reedsville and passed by our house on their way back to GB. Over 100 classic cars and 600 bikers!! It was pretty cool. The boys loved it, we all stood by the road waving the whole while, about 15 min for them all to pass by. God bless our Vets!

Yiikes! Fun with chickies!

The hubs is very good about search and rescue - I think he likes the girls as much as I do. Roosters are another story, he'd sooner see them in a stew pot!

My "Chickenship" likes to pretend he finds the whole chickens thing amusing and dumb but hes the one saving scraps and going out to play "Chicken football"-give one treat and watch them chase each other etc. I have also caught him bragging about the benefits of fresh eggs, talking to the chickens etc.

Everyone must be working outside!

Going to my sister's house in a bit to celebrate my nephew's birthday. So I leave you all with his cake ( I cut out the eyes, my sis did the rest).
