Everyone is well and so far I have 4 eggs this morning. I'll check again later today. Some of the Girls lay a little later in the day.

DH is finally getting back to work. He is going to a few accounts today so he is very happy to be getting out of the house and back to normal!

BigZ and Susie-HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!! Lets see....I was going to make a smarmy comment to tell you how old I was when you got married....lets just say my wardrobe included diapers and a bib..... (Sorry! I guess I couldn't resist the smarmy comment after all!!!)

Ghost-Cool pics! Love the white dogs!

Vicki-That is the great thing about chickens. Learning about them is easy and luckily they are a rather forgiving pet.

Well gotta get a move on....things to do and such!
Later!

Carol- your hard work with the horse is doing wonders.
FT sorry to hear about your wild auntie. many memories there!
Bigz.. happy anniversary! Many more! I only have ten under my belt but looking forward to many more.

Dh thought he was regretting saying he was ok with a dog when my networking found us the breed we had been chatting about for years, but once he met him, he fell in love. So yesterday we brought home Packer, our corgi. It was the only name kids could agree on. Morgan wanted Flynn ( Flynn Rider from Rupunzel) and Drew wanted Obi (Obi wan knobi) but Eric and I told them they had to work it our and we were watching the game and scored a goal and did a big Yeah Packers! and the kids looked at each other and said, that would be a good game. If we can get these twins to agree on anything we are good as gold so packer it was! He is very sweet and very mellow. Did pretty good in the crate last night and I am working on potty training. Only one accident so far. Lotta pee in the little ones!

Carol will be here after her Dh truck is towed to swap some chickens. that is about it. Home with a sick boy today!

WCC, AMAZING! What a beauty you have there.... and so glad he is being taken care of now.

BigFam, you need to teach your goats how to babysit too....

Went and visited the in-laws last night, When we let the ducks out of their house, they took off OVER the 16 ft red maple in the yard...... I guess they really wanted out! My SIL and BIL were there with their two dogs, of course they are both golden retrievers. The one is eight, the other is 4 months.... and were THEY happy we released the ducks! Live toys that I can chase!!!!!! They both made a few attempts at checking out the ducks but after a stern reprimand once or twice they were very good. No way I was going to take my eye off of them though.... it would be like dangling a piece of candy over the head of a three year old and telling them 'no'.... way too tempting and difficult to fight those instincts.

Off to GB today.... DD has an appointment with her Neuro. Just the yearly checkup, no biggie....

TTFN!

good morning, by this time tomorrow we should be close to Madison.. so I won't be posting until tomorrow night..

Cind, I had a whole crate of lions, just like that,, I hauled them to the scrap dealer with a load of iron..

I always am amazed how quickly a horse rebounds with a little TLC.. You must have given him a bath.. his mane looks so white on the after photo.. If I could be assured of a steady supply of hay, I would get a horse.. but I remember the days when I had a few beef cows and had to travel far and wide to hopefully get hay.. I could haul 50 bales on my 3/4 ton Fjiord.. I lost a few bales on the way home sometimes, too.. I do not miss THOSE good old days..

40 years , eh Brent ? You must have married a child and raised her the way you wanted her to be. you know she treats you way better than you deserve..

My sister takes in foster children.. when they ask her how old she is, she says 37.. then when the nieces come to visit, they ask them how old they are, and they say 45,, 47 etc.. then the kid says, WOW, you are older than your mother !!! gotta love those kids..

Good morning! Had an early client today...Now I am home for a little bit and have to go back to work around lunch time. Still very tired from the weekend...should be napping right now for sure! The hose was frozen this morning so I have to go out and water still...I hope it is thawed! The water dishes in some areas were frozen too...It was only 20 HERE this morning Vicki; I thought you had colder weather than us? LOL! Guess it is time for the water heaters

Carol--nice looking horse! What is he? Looks like he used to have some nice muscling--coming back pretty good.
The beagle must be dreaming on the couch...she is whimpering and moving her lips around. Tommy is crowing...cant wait until the parrot starts that too...

Jim--took me a minute to figure out your siggy this time! I kept putting the wrong letters together.
Hey Kim...if you bring water in and "un-thaw" it wouldnt you be freezing it?

Had to comment cause it made me chuckle!
Glad Twain is doing well...when I told DH of his troubles he said, "who's that?" I explained and he said "I thought his name was Dwayne." Bet he gets that a lot. (especially from guys who say they have "perfect" hearing)

Happy Anniversary Brent and Susie!!!

DrH I hope your hearing test goes well...JJ I will be at work until 3 today if you wanna stop--bring me some of those seeds! Cool looking squash! Yeah Jim...you could come and see my mess here while you are in Madtown too...maybe I could send a horse or two back with you!
Kristip that sure is a cute puppy! Looks calm right now anyway...bet you are glad he wont get as big as Kim's dogs hey?

Had a surprise this morning...all 9 of SuperMama's eggs have hatched. Does anyone know if those chipmunk chicks are sex-linked? I have noticed with hers there are some that are definitely browner (darker) and some are more gold (lighter) Only problem is that I cant ever remember which are which as they get older! Anyhow she has 3 light and 6 dark ones. I will try for a picture...guess I better get out there and check that hose.
Have a great day everyone! TerriOwaytootiredtodoanythinghere

TO the test didn't go so good. Actually it didn't go at all their puters were down and waiting for a new appointment. That's funny about Twain cause I thought his name was Dwayne too.

Now you can get rid of your chickens you don't need them anymore. Kris cute puppy! MLH glad T/D is getting back to work bet he was getting a little cabin fever by now. I took 4 days off and guess what there was still nothing on TV. Lunch time.

Happy Anniversary BigZ!

Kristi, CUTE puppy! I hope he works out well for you! Now all we need to do is get BigFam a puppy.... since you are leaning hypoallergenic, perhaps a goldendoodle or a labradoodle... hypoallergenic AND good with kids. Easliy trained too so having them learn the birds are off limits should not be difficult.

Spent the day in Green Bay with my oldest. She had her yearly Neuro appointment so I though we could enjoy the day together. We went to the mall and checked out my Alma Mater (I spent too much $ on Phoenix wear), and then saw the doc. I think she is one of his highlights. A fully functional, controlled Epileptic, with no deficits. She is one lucky kid, and is fully aware of it too.

While at my in-laws, I HINTED that I put my Christmas present on facebook...

She sure is pretty. I would hope her attitude would match, and that she is not mare-ish.

That is about it here. Off to UW-Fox tomorrow.

I'll be honest, I think I found the place and the type of dog. I don't know if my hubby will go along with it, even for our sons sake. We've been terrible dog owners in the past. But I honestly think all the work training the dog will pay off for Halden. But I don't want to say more for getting my hopes up. The litter's not due for another week anyway...

Oh I forgot to mention it, that poor horse went 6-8 months if not longer very skinny, when the previous owner HAD to call the vet out last Nov. So then after getting his teeth filed (normal for an older animal) to make the molars even for better chewing, they let him go ANOTHER YEAR
somad.gif
with very little weight gain before plunking him on the craigslist for free. I fully expected him to be
full of cancer or something as to WHY he was that thin, and when I got permission to speak to the vet's office about him, they didn't have much information, but when I talked to the vet and jogged her memory (She works for herself now) she said that if he was only 200 lbs under weight NOW.. he had gained alot...
I think what makes me so mad is she waited until he was thin to the point of being a skeleton, and then kept him another year AND then realized that she could not provide him the home he needed.

I have 3 silkie crosses now, one silkie/chantecler, silkie/EE and now a silkie/jaerhon cross.

AND I got to meet Packer today, OMGzzz sooo cute, sooo sweet!!! I want one sooo bad..
OH.. I will have to introduce KristiP to Foot Rot Flats!! tee hee.

Oh, that poor horse. HTH can people do that to animals?????
somad.gif
Carol, you are good people! Kudos to you!

Super cute pup, Kristi!

Nothing new here. Went out to pick some turnips for HM chicken noodle soup this aft & found quite a bit of fur from a wild bunny only a few feet from the chicken run. Not good.

Not sure when it happened but I'm guessing it might have been yesterday sometime? Other than that, I got nuthin. Eyes are giving me grief from being too tired. Sweet dreams, all!
