Yes. That is what the NPIP tester told me. Tony Perryman is the guy in MO that tests all but commercial flocks across MO. I asked him about NPIP and the legality of shipping birds and eggs. He said, technically, anyone who sells poultry or viable hatching eggs is supposed to be NPIP.Wait ... what? Any birds in the state? ... so to sell a hen at the feed store swap meet I technically need to be NPIP certified?
Or did I misunderstand?
Not arguing... just looking for clarification... as I thought it was only needed for shipping birds or sell across state lines... but will admit I’ve never looked into at all.
