Young quail has been scalped and eye is badly damaged. Wound smells bad.

The electrolytes are fine. Drinking a lot just means you’ll get runny poop from him. My chicks really liked when I would mix some electrolyte water with their feed. They’d gobble it up.

Make a small separate bowl or paper plate and add equal parts feed and water. That may entice him to eat.

Ok thanks, I'll try that. The quail have gamebird/showbird crumbles so I'll mix that with electrolytes.

Thats what I've just been doing. I fed him got him to drink and now I'm here on the forum catching up on stuff. Thanks for the advice!
