He is now interested in his food and is drinking electrolytes by himself. Should I scramble an egg and give it to him? I have heard people recommend that for chickens and I was wondering if that would be good for him to.

Yes, I have used it on several wounds on myself. I prefer it to the feeling of peroxide. We all have different pain thresholds, so what doesn't sting to me, may sting to you. I'd rather 90% isopropyl alcohol than peroxide honestly...Yes
have you used iodine in an open wound on yourself though? Hurts like crazy! Far far worse than peroxide does. Many animals don’t react to pain but that doesn’t mean they don’t feel it. Iodine is a super good disinfectant though so if that’s all you have it’s certainly better than nothing.
Yes, you can scramble him some eggs I bet he would love that! Very good in protein and nutrients, which will help him heal.He is now interested in his food and is drinking electrolytes by himself. Iodine stung me when I had to use it... but birds? I haven’t done the research. Before I clean it I have one question. Does iodine sting?
Yeah, You can use hydrogen peroxide to bleach hair (didn't work for me but..)So it must do some damage to tissue.A note on hydrogen peroxide, it destroys tissue. I don’t recommend using it unless diluted and used sparingly. It’s whats know as a mutagen.
It’s something I learned in my line of work with environmental hazards.
He will eat. If not, then it would be worth taking him to the vet for oral antibiotics and maybe pain relievers. Can he drink too much electrolytes? He's drinking quite a bit. He wasn't to excited about the egg though. He pecked at his food but I don't know how much he ate. As long as he drinks electrolytes, at least for today even if he doesn't eat he'll be ok right? He just has to start eating soon?
