Yucky Pond!

Hi there, I'm a newbie and I have got 2 Aylesbury ducks and 2 ex-battery hens.They're so much fun!! I made a small pond area, out of a kiddies padding pool and have so far tried every syphon made to man! Nothing seems to work! And I'm stuck emptying it by bucket. Anybody any tips?!

My ThirstyMate hand pump empties a concrete mixing pan in about 5 minutes, and I am not superhero. It has a screen on it. It can get clogged, but it's easy to unclog in a few seconds.

I did time it yesterday and today. Five minutes, 112 half-pumps.

Brilliant! As you can imagine it takes me aged and I like to empty it each night!

You can install a drain in your kiddie pool.
I thought I had the link saved, but if you use the search feature, you might find it eventually

those were the parts used to add a drain to this pool. You can see the inside part of the drain
