It is not required here in NC, but I do place high importance on biosecurity. No birds have been brought in since I've been NPIP certified. I worm every 6 months and am very hands on in my small flock
My GF always did the birds while she was pregnant. Our little man seems to be fine LOL, little guy just wants to GO GO GO. At only 4 months he is somewhat crawling but really just tries to stand up!!!! I can already tell he's gonna be a mess!

I always boil the water then use a spoon to put the eggs in gently, and when they're ready to come out I put them in an ice water bath for like 10-15 minutes. They peel easier but not perfect.
