Supposed to have my coop by now, but the weather has been so terrible that the guy who is bringing it to me has been snowed in for weeks!
I was hoping to have chickens in February but it looks like that's getting pushed back to March or later.
Would still love to find some white or black...

Is Sweetie a Fav? I can't tell, but if she is, her coloring is very, very dark and not correct. Your rooster is very handsome but also is too dark. A crooked beak is probably not something you want to mess with, either. I wouldn't breed them.

It probably all depends on the quality of the parents, I imagine that two salmon Favs from good, strong lines would breed true to color. Hatchery birds might be a differrent story.
Henry, if you are selling chicks, what age will you be shipping them at and will you be able to sex them? Also what is the minimum of birds you will ship? I am only looking for a small number, 2-3. That's one of the reasons I might just go with 6 eggs.
I should have my coop ready by the end...

I want to make sure they are laying before I take payment I will PM you with payment info
would also be very interested in 6 eggs but more in like a month or so.

Ok sounds good
In the lab we would probably amputate a toe, but I figured that would be a nicer method. Just remember which toe is painted on which chick, keep a chart if you must!

All us fav breeders can dream, can't we? haa haa!!!
I love them but they are a little slow its true. I GOT MY EGGS! Nikki did a perfect shipping job/and sent lots of eggs! Tonight im going to set 20 favs from her and 4 from mine and 16 BLRW from her.
That's so exciting! I can't...

I agree that is not too expensive for such a rare breed. I was only wondering about importing, I know that it costs about $500 to ship a dog or cat from overseas, had no idea it was worse for birds!

I think this is a good idea, personally. In a breed with such small numbers I think it's important to mix up the bloodlines occasionally to reinforce positive traits and help weed out negatives and prevent too much inbreeding.

I would rather just eat them as roosters thats what people would do with them at auction anyway. I am not really comfortable with caponizing birds I haven't heard that its a really safe procedure and I thought it was done to improve the meat qualities of roosters. The Hens and Roosters...
