Nancy, Males can have yellow legs, but still be carriers of the willow leg gene, Females are not "carriers" - they either have willow legs or not. So if all your hens have yellow legs, the problem is with your male - irregardless of his leg color.

I'm still lurking and following along!! Just haven't posted for a while as I'm not breeding MF's anymore. But I still have my precious Tango (bred by Tim Kerbo). I thought I'd update you, as she is now 3 years old.
This was her picture at one year:
And here's a couple of her now:
Oh Lynne, I am so sorry to hear about Bridget, and I know you are grieving. I told you often how beautiful I thought she was. And I'm sure Rocky is missing her terribly. The entrance to Hacienda is certainly the proper resting place for her - what a beautiful tribute. Her legacy continues...

I'm sure you can tell by my questions I'm a newbie. Guess I had better purchase an ABA Standard in...

Unless for some reason a specific change for Cochins would be requested if/when they are submitted for ABA recognition, they should be bred to the ABA Standard for Mille Fleur Plumage. It can be found on page 230 of the current (2006) ABA Bantam Standard. (It is the same Mille Fleur...
