San Diego Chicken meetup and Chat thread

Hey! I hope you are all well. I have a bit of a mix up here. My Jersey Giants and Leg Horns got mixed up. Now I don't know how to tell them apart. Please help me figure it out.

the leghorns should have white earlobes and the giants should have red

once you catch them. put a cable tie on the leg of one breed. lol

Jersey giants should have dark legs and leghorns should have yellow legs.

We really enjoyed the show. Something different for us. The raffle table was loaded. We mostly (sorry Dana) all went home with something. Kids had a blast. It was nice having the concessions stand right there too. A very nice and relaxing day. We missed those who couldn't make it.

I have 5 mallard ducklings that are in need of a home. Rescued them when just hatched at El Cajon City Hall and their mama abandoned them. They are doing great but that would bring my duck count up to 12. Can't release them again because they are imprinted on people.

Also, have 3 easter egger cross roos that are in need of new homes...or whatever else anyone wants to do with them. We haven't gotten the courage to take care of them ourselves.

Hello all,
Hoping to get an answer to a question.I have been given a cochin hen and she is quite calm. She does not each much or move much. She is a year old and I am wondering if this is typical of the breed or if I should take her in. She has no other outward signs of illness. Your insight is much appreciated.
