This looks like a good DIY idea with certain modifications made to it. Having zero hatch is one thing but then no second hatch to show this works would have helped. I'm sure it could be made to be successful.

Super ideas! I love the clay bricks one as I've never heard of it, and we've got some here, and a clean oil pan that should work. Great pictures too!

Great article. Love the links! Lots of good ideas!

I wrote a note about horse bedding pellets below as another option I think could be added.

Wow, didn't even realize this article was here but what a great read! Even though we're in the U.S., I loved your list of plants/bushes, and I happen to have some honeysuckle bushes waiting to be planted. I'll reread this again when I have more time and copying down some of the tips and that list. We border a forest, so we could do way better than hostas! Thanks for the educational article! Great pictures too!

A difficult topic but well covered. Great links too. Will be helpful for anyone having a rough time with having to end the life or deal with the death of a beloved chicken.

Great idea! It would help us out if you had a step by step of how you did this. Some of us would get all the parts and just shrug at what's the first thing to do.
Great reminder plus, thorough checklist!

Loved the helpful links too!

Great list of DYI waterers for anyone wanting to get some great ideas!

We use verticle nipple bottles for chicks, and horizontal nipples on buckets for adults. Love to see other ideas too! We may change a couple of ours up!

Great explanation for those new to hatching. I love the photo of the eggtopy.

Could you try get a better picture for your first one though? That would make this so much nicer looking!

Great idea! We deal with splayed legs several times throughout the spring hatching season and always use vet wrap. I like this idea!

It looks like a nice coop. There's no explanation, measurements, materials list, or blueprint of how this was built.

It's not really much of a coop article. I'm not sure why some of this is typed, and above that, it looks like it's pasted from below.

Very ingenious using a sofa frame, Target storage, etc., in the making of this coop. It's very nice and lots of photographs, but lacks any measurements or instructions on how this was built.
