An opinion on raising chickens or geese for someone starting out raising poultry.

I'd have liked to see some links to learn more about geese and this type in particular as I'd never heard of them. They are pretty though!

I will be writing a more in depth article or just improve this one.
That is a good idea, thank you.

This is good, but I think it's a good start.

The vast majority of new members want to learn where to find the info they came here in the first place for. It would be better to explain all of the Tabs at the top, starting with Forums. That's where most wind up looking for where they can post about their poultry. You could explain how there's a forum for almost every animal there is, plus other places in the Forums like the Emergencies / Diseases / Injuries and Cures, or Predators and Pests, etc.

After that, I'd point out Articles, mostly the Learning Center and Coops, which are the two most helpful things in BYC.

I think you're onto a great start, but it just seems like it's not geared to include brand-new members, as they aren't being shown what is most likely important to them to find.

Unless you wanted to make a "Starting Out in BYC" one, and an "Advanced BYC" one. What you have here would be for the Advanced one.

It's really good what you have going here, so if you choose to improve it with more stuff, let me know, and I'll change my rating. :)

Beautiful coop!

A materials list and measurements on the blueprint would help others build this.

Nice coop. Not a lot of build photos, but some explanation of how it was built.

Exterior nests usually don't work well in areas that have harsh winters unless you collect eggs every hour or utilize a heating method.

Good documentation via photos, but more explanation of what you were doing each stage to build it would help others.

Nice and simple, but needs a little more explanation of how you built it.

The automatic door is a nice addition and could be an article of its own.

Great journey from a kid's playhouse to a coop and run. Sorry about the predators but quickly covering open holes with hardware cloth prevented further losses. Lots of great pictures.

So creative and adaptive for tropical climate. Great photos and documenting how you reused the crates, twice. Very nice looking arrangement!

Nice coop! Good explanation of what was done. Not much for measurements of boards to help build the frame, so a blueprint and/or materials list would help. Great pictures!

Good job remodeling an old shed and making it functional for a coop!

I'd use 1/2" hardware cloth on the pen though as predators can get through what's on there.

A few more details would have been helpful as a lot of folks remodel sheds and ask how to go about it.

Not good for predators though so would upgrade to 1/2" hardware cloth.

Good idea!

If this is your Youtube, I'll change my rating as otherwise, it would be nice if you showed your own chicks drinking from it.
Nice coop and run! Realizing you didn't build it, there's not going to be any help here for anyone else wanting to try build it except for some great pictures.
