It looks like a good concept, and glad it works out for you. You mention hardware cloth being used, which is of course a standard for keeping predators out, so glad to hear it!

This article needs some detailed build instructions and a materials list to help others build similar projects. Additionally, it would be helpful to show us how you put it together and take it apart for moving it.

Thank you for the review. Sorry, I didnt know I had to be detailed in everything. I guess if someone was further interested I could get into details. I really just posted to show such a design was possible.

The simple summary. Build 3 boxes. Wrap with hardware cloth. Have lumber the length of coop with hardware cloth under it to prevent diggers.

The few pictures can't be clicked on to expand them. No explanation of how this was built. Cute chickens though!

Excellent example of repurposing things to make a coop. A bed is a rare one, but works in this case!

Good pictures and explanations of how you build this open air coop.

This is good information about how you've had to adjust your coop and make arrangements for the chickens that came along. It is inspirational to others about knowing what you need and some ideas for how to make it so.

A good coop article would have pictures and explanations of the build as well as a materials list, but like I mentioned, this does serve a purpose to others in other ways. A lot of great ideas are shown though if someone has some inspiration.

Great insight and knowledge here for anyone considering raising guineas alongside their other poultry! Very informative!

We'll probably never get guineas here as the farm across the road has them, and that's enough. :)

It's unique.

There are simpler things to do that would be much less work. If this works for you, and people hate the other methods, then I suppose it could be usable by others.

I say this as one who has vet wrapped, rubber banded, used tubes and chick chairs, etc., at least a couple of dozen times and never lost one. I hope your maze works out well for you; it's a neat idea.

If you have ever bred button quail: it is impossible to use rubber bands, chick chairs etc. They die 100 percent if the time. This is a life saver. Would like to let others know.

This is very nice and ingenious repurposing!

Your run needed to be 15 square feet per bird, so saying you were sticking by 3 hens, you'd have needed it to be 45 square feet. I'd bet by now you've done that!

Love all the pictures!

Adorable.

What's the inside look like? More pictures would help as well as information about how you built it, and what lumber/supplies did you use aka materials list.

Love how this coop was made out of part of a shed, but there's no instructions on how you built it.

Beautiful coop! Great pictures and lots of help with step-by-step instructions. A lot of neat forethought in some of the explanations of how and why certain things were done a certain way that can be considered by someone building this. Nice job!

Great coop article! Love the pictures, explanations, instructions, and all of the extra information and justification for why you did what you did. It'll be easy for someone else to build one too. Nice job!
