Looks like a very nice, well built coop! If you update your article at some point, I hope you'll add the dimensions and a list of materials.

Thanks for the feedback! I added to the article with dimensions and a rough material list. We started out with a material list but due to changes, mistakes, etc. the list changed quite a bit.

Would have been nice to see how the coop was built. It does seem a bit too small for the number of chickens shown. Also, the chicken wire on the run portion needs to be replaced with hardware cloth to provide better predator protection.

It would have been helpful to others wanting to build a similar coop to see the steps it took to build this one. Some additional photos (including the interior) would have been nice.

It's always nice to be able to reuse the materials at hand (or found) but wish this article had shown more step-by-step information.

Your efforts have brought new life to the old guard shack, it should make a very nice coop for your flock. One thing, you may want to be thinking of how you can put a cover over the run to prevent aerial predators. Best wishes!

Thanks. I've considered putting something over top of at least the primary enclosure. I've seen various types of netting available, but wouldn't know which kind is correct or where to get it. It would have to be a pretty large net.

My neighbor's chicken yard is totally open and exposed, and is larger than mine. To my knowledge she's never had raptors attack her flock. She warned me specifically about raccoons and possums., and I am considering options to protect from those--because they're all over out here.

It is a cute coop but the article is missing the details on how this was built. The chicken wire needs to be replaced with hardware cloth. Also, if the nesting boxes were relocated to the exterior, the chickens would have more floor space to get safely off the roosts.

Beautiful coop and I like the Dutch door. But it would have been nice to see how it all came together as well as a photo of the interior. Also, I'd recommend replacing the chicken wire with hardware cloth.
