Thanks WyoChickenMamma!
I will get those two out of there as there are no other pips yet, There is one that got most of the way out and didnt make it that I want to get out of there too :(
Ok so it is day 21 today and I have a slight dilemma!
I put my incubator into lock down on Thursday night after work. I came home from work on Friday evening to one little chick in the incubator! (much to my surprise)
Over night a second one hatched also.
I do not want to disturb the other...
Candled today, it looks like only 5 out of 27 eggs aren't doing anything, the rest all look very productive, I'm amazed :)
I hope everything continues going so great!
Good luck to everyone!
Im starting today (May 27th) but I figured I would keep tabs in here instead of starting a new thread!
This is my second go at hatching, this time I have set 27 future chickens in my hova-bator.
Last time I only had two out of about 10 hatch, so hopefully this time I can take what I learned last...
we had another hatch last night!
Now there are two little chicks in there, but no signs of any others, that's ok though I am quite happy with what I've got!
This whole thing has been stressful and very exciting. Thanks for the support, I will definately be trying this again.
ITS A CHICKEN!!!
She's completely out of her shell and floundering around on the bottom of the incubator kicking around all the other eggs which makes me a little nervous (egg carton makes sense!)
so excited
So after my massive failure last weekend with no chicks hatching I figured that the other eggs in the incubator that were due to hatch this weekend were a lost cause. Lo and behold, last night I got home last night and there was a pip!
This morning I got up and ran to the incubator and that pip...
So beautiful!
All your chick pictures are so great I wish I could add my own!
Unfortunately my entire hatch just didnt hatch (about 12 eggs). I guess I did something wrong, Im trying not to let it deter me but its pretty frustrating, I checked that incubator constantly!
Congrats to everyone...
it's day 21 today as of about right now for three of my eggs.
There was no action this morning before I left for work and nothing has happened so far with my eggs that were on day 21 yesterday!
The suspense is killing me!
I hope that something happens, Im going to feel terrible if none of them...
I have an old hova-bator circulated air model 2362N it's got an automatic egg turner in it.
This is my very first attempt ever at using this incubator and hatching in general!
With no action yet on day 21.
Checking in from the Sandilands area of Manitoba here. Wishing my chicks would hurry up and hatch and wishing winter/spring would hurry up and decide what it's going to do!
