Hello fellow Minnesota victims! I'm sick of frozen eggs, so i woke up at 530 this morning to collect my saxony girl's eggs. 530 on a Sunday!! I must be crazy.
Sotabrew - i an in Maplewood and have two chickens and three ducks. My two neighbors say they are fine with it but I'm very paranoid when the ducks start quaking. Maplewood residences are allowed to own up to 10 hens but have to pay 50 bucks a year to do so, along with regulations about coop...
Black brook, you may someday get to that number, but its hard to keep it there! I'm somewhat lucky that I'm in the city. Forces me to limit my numbers.
Someone over on the duck threat had a similar issue. They sent it in for necropsy and found a lesion on the brain which they believe was from a migrating raccoon round worm.
Cyrus, was there signs of struggle? Holes in the fence? Were they free ranging? I could see an eagle or something carry a few away, one at a time. But not 15.
Any one have sexed chicks for sale near the twin cities. If so what breed and age. 3 out of 4 of my chicks have turned out to be cockerels. can't have those in the city :(
