    Anyone try those alfalfa/timothy cubes?

    I know they are intended for horses, however I'm seeking a "green" alternative for the grass they love so much. (Winter's in full swing here). Romaine is a highly regarded treat they come running for but I can't give them a belly full daily ($). What other options are out there?

    High protien food harmful for big goose?

    With a little one in the coop, I want to insure the protien needs are met for the gosling...so I just put gosling food in the feeder. Just until it's time to switch to lower protein; will that hurt my big goose (1 yr). Will be grazing as well.

    Duck companion getting way too ...

    friendly; so to speak. How do I curbtail this change in their relationship...that is; Pekin duck and American buff goose; both a year old in June. He's a companion only until I obtain a larger goose family this Spring...then he goes to a good, safe home with other ducks. <fingers crossed>
