Ok.... first off we got two silkies last July. Full grown. They both got sick with something that made their necks limp. Someone said botulisms or something. The coop is under a lemon tree, so maybe something from the citrus? It was weird. My mom was able to help me revive them. Then they...

I have a 3 yr. old and 7 year old. It seems when they go in the coop Dodge (our silkie rooster) attacks them. When I'm in there he doesn't attack me, but he will go after them and they get scared. Why is this??
We've got one silkie hen and he seems pretty protective of her. We also just...
Any ideas how to get rid of rats/ mice without using poison? Traps are sooo hard to keep having to set and I just wish there was something. We live in the middle of orange groves (country) and we seem to have a lot of them lately! Even going up in my boys tree house. We have lots of mice/ rat...
introduce chicks to older chickens? I just have ONE rooster silkie and ONE hen silkie and 6 baby bantams. They are about 4 weeks old. Let me know. THanks. When can I put them in with them? When they get all their feathers?
Now that they are feathering out some..... can you tell by the pics, what kind of bantam's they are??
Cochin??
This is suppose to be my blue/ green egg layer, do you think that is right? And then behind her a white silkie? And to the side, a chochin?
I know.... can't see her to good...
How can you tell if your baby chick is going to be a frizzle?? I supposedly got a black frizzle. She's got her feathers (well most I think) and I can't tell a big difference? When would I start to notice the "frizzle effect"?
How many eggs a day will they lay? We've got a silkie, I think a cochin (a couple), Amercu one... Just wondering how many eggs we'll have?
Also, How many weeks will they be when they start to lay?
Thanks
When can I get my week old chicks introduced to my two adult chickens? Are they too young now? It on a HOT day bringing them outside.... on the grass... would that be something we could do??
Can you help me figure out what kind they are too? Aren't they cute??
This is Oreo
Is she an Amerecauna one, that will lay the blue/ green eggs?
Here is Henny

Hey, I've got two silkies (A pair). Got them a couple weeks ago. He crowed and they both were happy. We were able to catch them and hold them... then a few days later after being in our back yard (while we still worked on their coop) He quit crowing, they both wanted to SLEEP all the time. Now...
