Freak Out!!
Noooo! My humidity reader doesn't seem to be working! I'm on day 10, the last 'reading' I have is at 35% but don't know if it has actually been at that! Have ordered another one but is there anything I can do in the meantime? They're Pekin eggs :(- tmarr

Duckin hell this is hard!!
Ok the short version! I've bought an incubator,put 4 Pekin eggs in, I'm also leaving eggs in the nest to see what happens! I'm on day 6,tried candling, the air sacs seem to be going the right way but can only see a dark area in two of the eggs, nothing like the detail on the charts. Wondering if... -

Getting ready to start.
Gulp, well my incubator has arrived and I've started collecting the eggs. I've set them pointy end down and am turning them, got my x and o's on lol! This probably sounds stupid but I had a quick look at the incubator and I had assumed it would record the humidity as well as the temperature...- tmarr

cleaning the eggs.
Guys can I was the eggs before putting them in the incubator? I did read that this could cause infection? I don't want to leave poo on them though. It's Windy Mommy!
Came home today to a chorus off quacks, cheeps and general grumpiness!! Thinking the worst I rushed into the pen to check everyone was ok was there a predator?....Did their door get closed? Nope....it was the wind!!! There is a 'wind tunnel' along the side of the shed and everytime the wind... -
The no good hen encounter!
Well I was trying to be artistic with my duck photographs and get down to their level but I forgot about the hens roaming around and yes you guessed it, I got a peck right on the eyeball!!! Lesson learn't lol!- tmarr
