Hi all! I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if Sprout brand feeds contain soy? I can find no product ingredient information online ...thanks in advance
Yes, post the ugly chick pic!!!
Speaking of ugly chicks....this one came in my "mixed bag o' chicks"...the one in the center, I don't think it's a chicken...or it's "some other kinda chicken" . It's tiny...tinier then all the others by about 2/3. It's also very "torpedo-y" shaped....and...
So, I stood in the coop and stared at that chick that had to be culled for about 15 minutes. Could NOT do it. I am such a wimp
Then in walks my husband from work, walks in the coop and says "which one"? Picks it up....and walks out the door with it. About 2 minutes later I see black...
I am currently gathering the courage to cull. Errgh. I'm a Board Certified Massage Therapist...I'm used to helping not hurting :( My husband said he would do it when he got home if I can't find the "ovaries" to do it. I love that he's so supportive..LOL
I did get them from a hatchery...
Good Morning!
Great pics of all the new babies!!! I do have a quick question....I went out to the coop this morning...and something caught my eye, and it must be new because I can't believe I didn't catch this before, but one of my 4wk olds is walking very odd....like not on feet but on...
So............maybe I've been a bit "aggressive" in my need for chickens.......
I "may" have an over abundance of them............
so..........
I'm willing to trade some around..............if'n someone can help me identify what I have....>LOL
Awesome!! So, how can I tell if it got frozen?, other then it obviously being solid, it was just very cold, brought it in and it's in a bowl on my kitchen counter. I'd like to gather a few before I set them.
Went to the barn to check on things...and it appears the Cayuga's are layin' !! One big cold egg. I couldn't tell if it was frozen or not. Anyone ever attempt to incubate duck eggs?
