    Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I've got some updated pics from today. This is my younger naked neck broody hen. She is on day 19, so hopefully we will start seeing some action tommorrow. She has 12 eggs after removing four out of five that I gave her from the fridge. Here is the dad. Then I' ve got some bad pics of...

    Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Hi! I thought you would like to see my hen dustbathing with her chicks a few days after hatching them. As you can see, she only has one chick that hatched from her egg and it inherited Nn gene. Blue ones are australorps and black ones are either australorps or australorp crosses with barnyard...

I have the same "condition" with one more prominent brown dot! I've read through Fugly farm thread and wanted to comment how gorgeous he and Abby are but it felt irrelevant at the moment😅

I'd check them but I live in Croatia, I'm not sure they would send chicks here:lol:

I'd also like to have completely clean necked ones but I don't realy see them here and I don't have a Nn rooster to even have a chance at hatching it. Longer legs always look better to me as well.

So do you still have those three Nn hens or were they part of chickens that you gave away? Are you going to try again this year if you still have them? I also hatched this Nn rooster that would give me blue Nns this year with those australorps but I ended not keeping him because he was quite...

I think bantam cochin/ turken chicks would look great and I'm sure he would figure out a way to fertilize those eggs!

Mine are not too big as well. I'm hoping to hatch a blue australorp rooster this year from my splash hens which are huge and black rooster so I can start my blue splash turken project. They will hopefully inherit some size from these splash australorps. I tried to hatch the rooster last year...

Hi everyone, you have some pretty birds shown here! I was active here probably 5 years ago and wasn't visiting BYC since then at all and I remembered this thread and I am so glad it' s still active! Anyways, I wanted to show of my two naked necks. I bought this one in 2020. She usually has...

silver sebrights how to tell male from female

I would say they are all roosters. Really too big and too red combs for girls.

    What breed chicken is this????

Not 100% sure but I guess Serama

    What breed chicken is this????

I would say they are Brahmas, they should lose that black feathers in a couple of weeks and then they will look 'normal' for columbian color.

    Anyone male or female?

I think it's pullet. Her comb doesn't look that huge for a roo and her body shape looks girlish as does the color. And bantams usually mature faster if I remember right.

    Sizzle x Regular Hen?

I guess you should get some frrizzles and some smooth feathered ones if your rooster is frizzle

Looking at this pic I doubt her being a roo. Nothing says rooster to me.

I would agree with @cactusrota on pullets and roos. @igorsMistress Does black one have a rose comb? She is beautiful!
