A current side view would help though. Often you can see a puffy cushion saddle forming by now that would be tell tale.

Those legs and feet sure are big, though! Could just be he's a late bloomer along with being slow feathering. Will be interesting to follow.

Ok yep. I'm rescinding the pullet thought. No cushion and big legs/feet. That's a slow to mature boy. And the personality you describe says boy too. Gonna be a good looking bird either way!

Thanks for all the input and help all. I have 5 more I'm going to get pics of tomorrow morning, those I'll have to capture first, they're not quite as relaxed around me yet as these.

This is the one black one I have of the Dunlap turkens. Pretty sure it's a pullet, but not confident yet. It's not solid black, it's has a tiny bit of red partridge mossy speckles. But can you imagine crossing our two, @igorsMistress !!! I'll bet that would make some awesome babies!!
They are all quite skittish as I haven't been spending much time with them at all. Unless I'm feeding them, ofcourse. But some are really pretty so far. Out of the 11 that I ended up with I'm pretty sure I have 5 pullets. Three of the reds, one silver, and the one black.
