I was so excited about coming tonight, but I got my weekends all messed up and turns out I have a birthday party to go to. I definitely want to meet you all, but it's apparently not in the stars for today. I hope you all have fun!
Holly, it looks like you won't be making it either, so I will...
Man I hope your girl gets better. I lost a few silkies (younger ones though) and I called the vet and they offered practically no help at all. Apparently most chicken illnesses start with lethargy. I'll keep her in my thoughts.
Holly, I do have a brooder (well, I will have it all set up...
I'll be there on Sunday. The park for sure right? Yay! New chicken friends
Holly, I think I do want a few of your mille fleur cochins. And just to make sure, because I don't have an incubator (and I have the least unbroody bunch EVER), those are in fact chicks and not eggs, right?
See...
I've purchased from Poultry Hallow before and never had a real problem, other than I think he's kind of rude. He always acts as though he's in the middle of something important and I'm inconveniencing him. I will say that the silkies I got from him have all turned out beautiful. You know...
I live nowhere near you, but YAY! Baby chicks are too cute! I LOVE naked necks, I have three and they have such wonderful personalities. I'd recommend them to anyone.
She's always been the runt, though it wasn't quite as noticeable when they were all little. I got her from a local hatchery and they told me that they had all hatched the previous day (the only older ones were all white). I'm certainly stumped:/
I got a few new silkies this year and Ray hasn't really grown. To me, she/he still looks like a week old chick. She's feathering out okay and is otherwise healthy. She's even been freeranging without any problems, but I worry about her. I saw another post about midget silkies and I was...
I just got them from the local co op. I don't know anything about them really, other than they seemed cute...but now I've got 3 roosters and 9 hens and it's getting to be a bit much
Free!! Two lovely Red Shouldered Yokohama Cockerels. You can take them seperately or together. I bought them at the co-op as day old chicks and turns out they were both boys. Bummer for me, but it could be good for you! They are about 4 1/2 months old and don't have crazy long pretty...
Aww!! Too bad!! Because I love them all, but they're cooped up so much of the day and I just don't have enough space for them to run (or enough hens for that matter). Bummer!
Anyone want to take one off my hands? : )
First of all hi!! (I'm new here, although I've been pouring over the site for months) I'm hoping you can help me figure out if my yokohamas are boys or girls. I'm pretty sure that I already have one cockerel, although I don't know for sure because he isn't crowing. He just seems like a boy...
