Thanks! I figured that out but after the fact. Kinda learning as I go. I did manage to figure out how to do the heel and I'm working on the body of the foot now. Will post a pic when I finish. All I can say is thank goodness for you-tube!!!!

I bought this book and am making the multi-colored sock laying under the blue sock in this picture. The pattern calls for 5 inches of the stockinette stitch after the ribbing and that's what I'm on now, but doesn't this picture look like it's all garter stitch? My sock isn't looking like this...

It looks great! When it gets too small for the circular needles, slip the remaining stitches on to 3 double pointed needles. Knit off one onto a 4th empty needle, etc until there's only a few stitches left and then end it off. Kudos to you for your creativity!!!!!
