Actually, calls do come in tri-color. It's just not a SOP recognized color. I had an adorable tri-color hen. She was white based with little dalmation spots of blue & chocolate. Her coloring was a result of crossing white & butterscotch.
My 2 ancona drakes had 8 hens to share & still occasionally tried for the call hens. Other than a few missing head feathers, the calls were fine. Like I said, after being grabbed a couple times, the girls learned to dodge the big drakes pretty quick.

Birds don't taste things the same way we do. They like spicy stuff when they are cold because it raises body temp. It helps warm them without so much energy being used. Think about how hot you feel after eating something spicy. It does the same to birds.
