Eating just chicken feed isn't terrible but keep trying to encourage them to eat more. Maybe try some fruit scraps :)

Just do your best to feed them a balanced diet. Could you clarify what you mean by seeds? They should be eating grower or layer or at least scratch as their primary food along with scraps on the side.

If he won't eat grower then try giving him protein in other ways. Beans, boiled eggs, nuts. Yeah he does need more than just greens. I've not yet had goslings but never had a duckling or chicken that wouldn't eat grower.

No reason she should get sick because she's bigger. If the man said they were crossed they prolly are. Her being a little bigger might make the gander work a bit harder but still should breed fine in my opinion.

Also the goose and gander do sound different. The gander is usually louder and shrill sounding often.

Even if she is Toulouse or a pilgrim cross yes they can mixbreed. The fact that she is bigger than the gander is a bad sign for purbred pilgrim to me. My pilgrim gandee is about 1/3 bigger than my goose.

Yeah I was gonna say none of those geese look pilgrim ganderish lol. The ganders can have a bit of light grey here and there, mine does, but they will mostly white. :)

During the day nothing is likely to get them but predators can strike then if they are hungry and stray or neighborhood dogs strike day or night. By now they should know this is their home and know where they get fed. They should return without much issue

That depends on your area and how worried about predators you are. Pilgrim geese aren't very aggressive(which is great to me) and usually will be easy prey for larger predators including neighborhood dogs.

your gander may be younger of just runty. My gander is almost twice the size of my goose. I've had them about 8 months and he still will hiss half the time and at anything he perceives as a threat, dogs, bags, the hose, but he's all bluff. He runs as soon as you challenge the hiss lol

My pair of pilgrim geese don't really fly, but my gander has managed to lift himself high enough to get over my 5 ft fence 3 times. I just trim one of his wings now and he hasn't since. The fertility rate on pilgrims seems to range. From my research I see stats anywhere from 40-80%. Geese in...

Those don't look like crosses to me they look pure pilgrim. Ganders are white sometimes with gey spots here and there and with blue eyes, females are darker grey with white here and there and darker eyes.

Awesome can't wait to see pics of the babies. I sure hope mine lays enough that I can sell a few, pull a few for incubator and she will set on a few. :) I've read she should lay at least 20-30 eggs I discarded the first 4 as infertile and am hoping the rest shall be good :)
