I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure your sweet roo knew how much he was loved even though he didn't get to be with you as long as you both wanted. I have 3 sweet cuddly boys and am absolutely dreading the day that one passes..hopefully not for a long long time.
I've actually got 17 girls and 3 boys.....they're all outside now, although we had three tiny seramas living inside for several months (2 girls 1 boy) they got sick as chicks and so had to recover inside (and I kept them inside for longer than necessary...I really miss having them in the house)...
Sorry... must admit though I do love my 3 boys....so much personality, and good boys too! Two are so lovey that they follow me around and love to jump into my lap for attention
Thanks! I like those kinds of names for Seramas, and it seems to fit their personalities...I had a Ninja (RIP) who bizarrely enough had to be Hercules' mother. She died the day she laid the egg that turned out to be Hercules....she had been molting hard and so it had to be her first one (and...
Wow! Clever Enzo!! She almost needs a 'chicken shaming' sign saying "I hide green beans under the carpet for snacks later so I don't have to share"
I haven't had one hide food like this before that I know of, but I do have a tiny Serama pullet (her name is Tidbit) who has a hard time...
The one in the back (Hercules is a Serama/Banty mix) the one on the front, Andre (for Andre the Giant) is a full Serama (roo)+. He's 8 weeks old and when he stands is the height of a can of coke...he's tiny! He's starting to crow and it sounds like "EEeeeeee.....EEeeeee" completely silly...
Hi folks!
My three Christmas/December chicks are still inside....they had respiratory infections which caused them to come inside in the first place, but have recovered, although one is pretty runty. I don't think s/he'll (I think he) ever really thrive, but you never know. The other two are...
Due to the crazy weather (80 & sunny, 30 with wind/rain the next day) here these 3 are now inside to hopefully recover from the colds they were getting....
They're putting on weight like crazy, sniffles/sneezes drying up and I swear have grown in the last day an a half Please ignore my...
I love Phantom's pose.....we call that stretch "bird ballet" And Polka Dot is gorgeous!!! Onyx and Pearl look like they're 'dustbathing' on the carpet....that always cracks me up!
