thanks for the weather report, headed down to defuniak springs tomorrow, was hoping for some warm weather since its so blame cold here in pa right now. going to miss my chickens
ya know randy, sitting here thinking about how small she is, last year i had lemon cuckoo orpington chicks, when i went to move them to the big chicken house, yard, had one little roo that i didn't know where to put him, he was so small altho the same age as all the rest , that i just turned him...
i think shes a good looking hen, high tail or not, very good color on her. please keep posting on your chickens
what kind of bantam? i have a couple of bantam cochins, a blue, gold lace, mille fleur hens, and a mille fluer roo, mostly kept them cause they make such nice pets.
hi randy, glad to see you posting again, is this one of your old hens or one you hatched this year?
i think, good color, even if you don't like her tail
now that sounds mighty slick, i have very small gravity feeders for my housebirds, and might get my husband to make me some for the chicks, thank you for the idea randy
thanks for the info, my feeders, altho hung, aren't that high, will have to raise them a little see if that helps, my young ones are still in tractors so feeders are on the floor of the coop. will have to see about maybe hanging theirs too.
mine waste the pellets just like they do the crumbles, either way you lose alot of food to them picking out that one special morsel
(and i can tell you, doesn't help to threaten them into not wasting feed)
