(Oh yeah!)

Wolfram looked up at River."I....we don't know who the pure exactly are. They attacked us in the park. They wanted some sort of key...or something from me. Mapleshade used to be my moms best friend, But Mapleshade turned on my mom. But before that, Mapleshade already had it in writing that if my mom died, Mapleshade could take me into her 'care'."He spat the last word out bitterly."Um...Silver. Silver Irene Martindale."
"Silver Irene Martindale..." River muttered the name, before bringing a hand to her mouth. "I knew you looked familiar..." She whispered. She dropped her hand to her side, looking Wolfram in the eye. "I knew your mother. Did your mother ever tell you of a group called the 'Heroes'? We were both apart of it. She mentioned a Mapleshade several times, her best friend. Like a sister she said."
"Wolfram's mother was a part of the Heroes?" Lachlan muttered, glancing at Wolfram then back to his mother.
"Yes. She never mentioned a Pure, or a key, though."

Gosh, he knows. The police really are pretty good detectives. Sherri went into the bathroom. A natural act for a cat. For some reason she felt like if she shifted in there, the police would expect the cat to have stayed there and she had been there all the time. But she knew that was not true.
She walked through the door and wrinkled her pert nose at the ancient yellowing tiles and walls and the rusting toilet.
So she stood there, paws against the mirror, eyes watering from strong disinfectant, wondering what she could do, on the brink of sliding into the sink bowl.
She looked into her green, devious cats eyes and wondered at what to do. She knew cats were smarter and more devious than they looked, for she had been tricked out of a pillow more than once. (Shiloh knows when I set my book down that I read my bible, pray and put out the lights, the absence of light time perfect for stealing pillows, so he is always watches for me to put down my book.)
Sherri felt like those eyes were traitorous now, but she knew what her friend Brisa would want. She thought. She would really have to work on this communication as a cat with her friend.
She shifted into herself and quietly walked back into the main room.
"Hello. I'm Sherri Lastless. Nice to meet you," she held out a hand to the man, a scared smile on her face, but he seemed nice enough.
She twitched her ears and flagged her tail.
Despite guessing that she could turn into a human he was still surprised when a teenage girl with cat ears and a tail walked out of the room the cat had disappeard into. "Nice to meet you too Sherri." He said making a mental note of her name. He nodded his head and held eye contact while he shook her hand. "I'm Deputy Fredrick Chapman. Kind of an old mans name though. You can call me Freddy if you'd prefer." He let go of her hand and casually glanced over at the other girl she was no longer completely turned away her blue eyes now fixed on the two other girls.

"I'm just checking in, if any of you feel like you might be in danger I can take you home if you need a ride. That's what I'm here for. To make sure you're safe." He doubted he'd be able to get any real information out of them with them all together and legally he wasnt able to question them without a parent present.

"I remember her telling me she was in a group with a lot of people, yes."Wolfram eyes darkened as he thought of his, mother, and he couldn't meet River's gaze. He turned away, picking up the note, rolling it and putting it in his backpack. He shivered, and turned to look at River."Did she ever have a boyfriend or anything when you knew her? Dark brown hair, eyes just like mine. Cat shifter?"He asked softly.

River cocked her head, her eyes growing distant as she thought back. "Yes, I saw him several times when he picked her up." She paused. "Wolfram, your father, is he still alive?"

"Thanks." Brisa replied, relaxing. "I think we should be okay though." She wasn't getting in any stranger's car, police or not. "Thank you so much!" She repeated, equally to him and to Sherri for diffusing the tension.

River cocked her head, her eyes growing distant as she thought back. "Yes, I saw him several times when he picked her up." She paused. "Wolfram, your father, is he still alive?"
Wolfram shrugged, a frown on his face."I don't know...He didn't want me. He didn't want anything to do with me. He never wanted a child. He only wanted my mom.... I know nothing about him."He replied rather dully."And I want nothing to do with him."

"Woah, easy." Jessi said, gently grabbing her shoulder to keep her from falling. "It's less muddy in a tree. Here, I'll help you down." Jessi picked up Grace and flew down. She kept a hand on her arm to help keep her from falling over. "I don't know where Peter is. We all separated. Let me take you home. Where do you live?"
"Uh-" Grace stumbled. She put her hand against a tree. The ground seemed to be spinning. "I need to find Peter first," she said. "He'll get worried. Probably do something stupid." She squinted at the ground, as if daring it to keep moving.
Fritz elbowed the other boy when he noticed Peter's indecision. Though he hadn't at all involved in the confrontation to a lawfully punishable extent, it'd probably be best if they didn't draw attention to themselves.
"You might wanna go help out over there," he suggested in a low voice, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. He pointed up at the tree where Jessi and Grace were. "Looks like she's waking up not exactly coherent."
Toby sat up from his spot on the couch. He walked into the bathroom and took a quick shower. He got dressed and grabbed his backpack and car keys. He also grabbed an umbrella and walked outside with Alpha. He found his car and got in. The car was a navy blue pickup truck. Toby drove over to the park, planning to see if Jessi was still there and if she was pick her up. When he got there he saw the cops and quickly parked and got out, pulling his umbrella out. "What's going on here? Is everyone okay?" He asked one of the cops. "We got a complaint about a fight so we came to check it out." The cop replied. Toby nodded and jogged over into the woods. "Jessi? Jessi!" He called. Eventually he found her with Grace. "Thank goodness you're okay. I'm sorry I left you like that with that strange woman." Toby said, talking about Indigo. He then noticed Grace. He stepped closer to her so she was under his umbrella. "I'll drive you home. I brought my car." Toby said. They walked back to his car and got in. "So-uh-Grace, where can I drop you off?" Toby asked.
"Where?" Peter asked, hoping Fritz hadn't noticed his voice shaking. He looked intently at the woods, not seeing anything at first. Then he spotted Grace, Jessi, and Toby walking out of the trees. He must have good eyesight. Peter noted, then looked at Fritz awkwardly, "Um.. thanks," he said, then realized that it might've been the wrong thing to say. He quickly ran over to Grace, afraid that he had made the conversation awkward. Like he did with all conversations.

River nodded. "He may know something about the key or Pure. And I was thinking, if he is alive, the Pure probably know it. And he is probably on their targets list." She glanced at Lachlan. "Gage saw you walk off with your cousins. Were they attacked at the park too?"
Lachlan winced, thinking of Bleddyn. "Yes, but uh, they're okay. Everyone split up, Camilla raced off and Alice went into a store."
"And Bleddyn?"
