Can you post a picture of your tote and heat lamp?

A heat lamp is going to heat a tote (what I am thinking a tote is) too hot, isn't it?

24% is not good enough.
Can you get 28 or 30% game bird or turkey feed?



Is all of the above the same things you used for your last quail that all died?

i definitely need to salt-test my hygrometer again.....it’s only reading max of 51% but when i put a different one over the vent hole, it’s reading 76% so my issue shouldn’t be too dry.....my only guess on the stuck chick is that it was the one already pipped when i moved to lockdown and it got stuck before zipping. can’t figure out why none of the others have progressed but will give it some more time. the first button egg went into the hatcher last night so will see if it does anything before I leave tomorrow as today is day 16 for it and it was already drawn down. i have to do the math again on the other button eggs because I didn’t put them in the app

76% RH is precisely why the chick got stuck! Was unable to turn while zipping.

not really unless I ordered it and I can't , I've looked for higher then 24 and couldn't find it

Sure thing
But.......it doesn't work like you think it would , the surface of the thermometer gets to hot and reads the wrong temp , so last time I used it for a brooder I just got it to were it felt comfortable.



forgot to say that I had the thermometer in there with the chicks and got it pretty much to a steady temperature of 99 so that's depending on the level of height that the heat lamp is .
