It's normal. As long as your incubator has been hatchling proofed, it won't hurt itself.24 Texas A&Ms starting to hatch now. The first one is out and is going crazy because it's been alone for an hour. I'm worried it is going to hurt itself. Peeping very loudly and running around frantically. I know there is nothing I can do but is this normal?
Thank you. I put down shelf liner and removed the big bolt that sticks out to turn the trays. I'm sure it will be fine, I'm just excited! It's normal. As long as your incubator has been hatchling proofed, it won't hurt itself.
Yup totally normal don’t worry, it’s peeping will encourage the others to hurry.24 Texas A&Ms starting to hatch now. The first one is out and is going crazy because it's been alone for an hour. I don’t change the sand, I sift it once or twice a week, and add more in after I sift. I have their whole coop floor filled with sand, so it’s about 5-6 sq feet of sand. I top off the sand after I sift, I know a bunch is lost in sifting because it gets stuck to poo, but I think they eat a bunch too lol. Honestly I don’t know where all the sand goes. Can someone answer this?
