last night I may have gotten a little impatient and popped the cap on my pheasant egg last night (it had been externally pipped for over 24 hours). Little dude was still breathing and it hatched overnight 🎉🎉🎉🎉 still nothing from the remaining pheasant egg nor the hg quail. so i’m going to get the 2 moved to the shed brooder this afternoon or tomorrow and then recandle remainder and lockdown next pheasant egg.
 
Oops. I just set 18 button quail eggs. The roommate went to pick up mates for her two girls and came back with two boys and these.

Still good. I sold 8 a couple of days ago and have someone else who wants some more soon. I didn't plan on doing buttons again, but they're just so darn cute when they hatch.

Did not realize those were buttons. Small eggs, yes. So that makes more sense.

I should candle the dozen I have in the bator. Not sure they are fertile. They are the last from the male I sold.
